Whether managing a festival, nurturing developing artists, or merging art and technology, I’m passionate about creating exciting, relevant, responsible and inclusive work.
My employed experience includes roles with Scottish Ensemble, London Symphony Orchestra and Britten Pears Arts. My freelance life has led me to work with these and others, including Sound Voice, Manchester Collective, Decus Ensemble, Universal Music UK Sound Foundation and La Nuova Musica.
In recent years, I have developed immersive arts installations, delivered tours and projects for orchestral, contemporary and baroque ensembles, and managed educational programmes for young musicians. Among many venues and festivals, I have worked at Kings Place, Southbank Centre, Wigmore Hall, Barbican, Edinburgh International Festival, Aldeburgh Festival, Hidden Notes Festival and Sheffield DocFest.
I have a special interest in:
Artist development
Projects combining music and sound with strong visual and sensory elements
Innovative event concepts and new producing models

I shoot a range of live music and staged work as well as portraits and promotional shots for clients in the arts and beyond.
Photography requires lots of skills, but many are the same as producing – knowing how to put people at ease, being able to blend in, preparing well in advance, then putting the hours in afterwards.
Having toted a camera since my teens, it felt natural to start snapping when I began working in the arts. My eye for a strong photo meant I couldn’t bear to see amazing events pass without any visual evidence they had happened.
Over time, taking photos at work turned into working as a photographer. It’s a creative outlet from which I take enormous satisfaction.

Outside of work, I’m mad about coffee, swimming outdoors, and riding my Brompton. Whether you’re interested in a chat about one (or more) of those things, or even discussing working together, I’d love to hear from you!
