Sound Voice
Ground-breaking interdisciplinary performance project exploring the power of the human voice
As producer and production manager, I worked with Artistic Director Hannah Conway on Sound Voice’s development, appearances at major venues and festivals, and commercial work.
These included:
a showing of performance installation The Sound Voice Project (13 - 15 Jan 2022)
a concert performance by professional performers alongside people who have experienced voice loss (27 May 2022) at Kings Place in London
further runs of the installation at the Aldeburgh Festival (25 - 26 Jun 2022) and Sheffield International Documentary Festival (23 - 28 Jun 2022), the latter recognised by the Alternate Realities Award for best innovative non-fiction work (and since by the FEDORA Platform’s Digital Prize and Classical:NEXT’s Innovation Award)
a national advertising campaign for Vodafone promoting the power of their low-latency 5G service to push creative boundaries - in this case, we worked with singer and throat cancer survivor Tanja to create a unique doorstep carol performance for her sister with the help of an innovative portable talkbox and the vocal sounds of celebrity collaborator Martine McCutcheon
